Level up your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts. Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering and architecture through engineer-designed projects. Projects are rotated seasonally to ensure that even returning students get a new experience, so join us to design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas.

Location: Classes will be held on the D Wing of Newtown Middle School. If facing the school, park on the right side, use the main entrance (down the stairs), turn right down the hallway, then left onto D Wing.

SCIENCE SUPER POWERS WITH MAD SCIENCE (AGES 8-11)
Suit up, grab your super gadgets, and activate your Spidey Senses! Get ready for an epic, action-packed STEM journey that will bring us to a different dimension. Students will become superheroes as they discover the superpowers within and around us. This program will tackle challenging super science powers such as Thor’s electricity, Superman’s Speed, Wonder Woman’s flight, hovering Batmobiles, and even Space travel with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Our students will unleash the wonders of science and join forces to conquer super powerful sources, one experiment at a time. Each student will become a certified Science Super Hero plus receive a Mad Science lab coat, science goggles, and gadgets to continue using their science superpowers for years to come.

FALL FUN STEM WITH MAD SCIENCE (AGES 5-8)
Put on your science goggles and come on a Science Adventure! Scientists in Training will gain a basic understanding of all different areas of science while doing intriguing, hands on, experiments. This program covers everything from cool dry ice to hot air balloons, from Dinosaurs to a rocket launch that is out of this world, and much more. Students will receive a lab coat, goggles, and specially designed take home activities to help extend learning at home and grow their love for science.

Calling all Pokémon trainers! With the Pokémon Championship approaching, join our enthusiastic Play-Well Instructors as we build and catch our favorite Pokémon, rescue Pikachu from Team Rocket, take a ride on the S.S. Anne to uncover rare and mystic Pokémon, and battle to see who will hold the title of Pokémon Master. Come along on our journey to catch 'em all!!

Build and take home your very own RE/CO Robot! RE/CO robot is a mechanical off-roading adventure! It comes equipped with an infrared sensor and artificial intelligence. Its ability to be controlled wirelessly, and its tank-like tracks, make it perfect for rugged conditions. With the wireless remote control added, RE/CO Robot can access new play modes like storytelling, singing, dancing, and even programming. Students can enjoy guiding it over all sorts of terrain or allow the friendly robot to lead the way, using its infrared sensor to find a clear path in patrol mode. For parents who look to get the most out of their children’s time, RE/CO Robot is a great all in one package! It combines assembling with 106 pieces, STEAM learning with infrared sensors, programming with easy directional commands, and having fun with the freedom of a handy wireless remote control!
