This program focuses on beginners/advanced beginners skateboarding with safety first. The rules of the park and how to traverse from one side to the other and around the park safely will be focused upon. Students will learn how to not fall but if they do, how to fall correctly. When ready, students will work on learning to “Ollie,” “drop in” and the names of a variety of tricks. The program will be adjusted to the skill level of the participants and there will be skill assessments - beginners and returning students are welcome. Richard Beck, Instructor, is a skilled and passionate individual who has grown the skate community here in Newtown. Rich will be assisted by Talia Feher.

Participants should bring their own skateboard, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards.

Rain back-up will be under the pavilion.
